Pencil ASU in for becoming an even bigger disaster. AD wants the coordinators to stay and is pursuing Sumlin and Edwards. Maybe the AD can reach out to Lovie Smith at Illinois if he strikes out.
 
They're going to fire Graham, arguably their most successful coach since the 80s (lol), and replace him with a mediocre former NFL coach who has close to zero college coaching experience? Oh yeah, and the guy also hasn't coached for nearly a decade, and instead gets paid to work part-time as an ESPN talking head. Jesus, UCLA is going to annihilate that pathetic division.

We've been hearing ASU is a sleeping giant for 20 years. Recruit Central AZ, SoCal, and Texas and they'll be unstoppable. They never deliver.

I heard Nigel Burton on 950 today (fuck off). He said that basically everyone except for USC and maybe UCLA and UW needs to adjust their expectations. Not that many teams are going to win 10, 11, or 12 games often. I'm not saying Graham was a great coach, but if they're going to fire him and hire another mediocre coach like Sumlin, that's just FS. Koetter wasn't good enough so they hired Erickson. He did well for a year or two, then fell off, so they hired Graham. He did the same. Now they're going to hire someone who is equal or even worse than Graham and then fire them in four years...makes no sense.

Graham would've been fine if he recruited socal and didn't just completely forget to recruit defensive backs.

We didn't have a single California recruit last year.

And had a walk on off the track team starting at qb this year after 2 years of the worst pass defense in the NCAA.

Insanity.

He'd probably do pretty well at a school in Texas or the south where his hires all come from and can recruit there successfully.

And scoreboard bitch.

 
Yeah, it's really bad and 80% of the people didn't want Graham fired in the first place. People are furious. Teryl Austin is the other favorite and he can't start until the NFL season is over. It is all NFL guys. To make matters worse there is 12 million buyout for Graham and 2 million for assistants. So we are paying a fortune to have this problem. Ray Anderson our Stanford AD is a narcissist and frankly a dumb ass. Sumlin (Erickson 2.0 but worse coach/more swag/) looks better by the hour. Good God
