He’d be great with this staff and these WR. JMac, Polk, Jackson and Bernard are so far superior to anything he’s been throwing to the last three years. This offense with a mobile QB would be almost unstoppable. If you have a spy that’s one less defender in coverage. If you don’t, an easy 8-12 yards is available on almost every play.

His wr's are not the issue. Kelly and Williams are good. He has been running for his life for two years though.

His line has been bad, true, but those two WRs arent at the same level as UWs. Kelly is good but would probably be a Husky if DeBoer thought he could run with the dudes he has on the roster.

I think some of the high priority items may end up changing. My gut coming out of the most recent coaches' presser is that it's better than 50/50 that Asa, Polk, and McMillan come back.

Even so, I’d go hard for someone better at safety. If Asa wants to play centerfield then find a thumper that will come downfield and pound the shit out of someone. The Earl to Bam Bam Kam.

Asa should hang it up. They should be aggressively looking to replace him whether he's hanging around or not.

That’d be my preference but I think the focuses will be on the more pressing spots.

Some of my game threads last year ripped asa. Not a fan but can “good enough” be great with the right complimentary piece? And D coaches that don’t suck ass.

I think safety is one of the more urgent spots. LB is razor thin and the DL won't have any proven impact players (decent depth though). Corner has at least a ton of bodies with experience.

I'm just not sure there are even promising bodies to plug in at safety. Vincent Holmes was my favorite recruit last year and I have high hopes for him as a Buddha Baker type. I don't see a viable candidate to upgrade or even replace Hampton though.

Corner is a high priority especially if Mohammed opts out. Jackson has been the weakest link and it's not close. Banks looked promising but I don't know what he injured. Hopefully not something that affects his agility.
