2026 UW Roster - Offense

Nothing I said is a backpedal.

He's below .500 so no not above average

We don't pay people 7 million dollars "to see"
He took over a shitty Arizona program and went from 1 to 5 to 10. He took over a decimated UW at went 6-7 the first year. I agree that with the portal we should have been better. Then 9 last year. We have had this argument many times.

Fisch has hitched his wagon to Demond Williams. The rest of the country outside of here seems to think he’s pretty good. I agree with them and think we will be better this year.

Fisch will lose two games he shouldn’t every year in his career.

None of that says above average

None of his supporters will say he's the guy

Just we'll see

No way to rum a championship program

Hello. Let me introduce myself. My name is Nuance.

So, in 2023 he should have beaten two of these three? @ Mississippi State, UW and @ Southern California. If you claim Ariz should have beaten USC in the Coliseum with the talent USC had then you are speaking highly (properly) of Jedd's coaching abilities. Arizona at USC? Again, you are insisting that Arizona should have finished 12-1 in 2023? Sure.

Or in 2025 UW should have beaten Oregon, tOSU or Michigan. I get that UM could have been a potential win but to declare that UW should have won in the big house is not supported by fact or logic. By every account tOSU, Oregon and Michigan were more talented than Washington.

I could go on but . . . . . . .

More talented to where you should just be happy it's close in the 4th quarter?

No way. Sorry

Why would someone say he’s the guy if he hasn’t been the guy yet? The standard here is 10+ wins. It’s not Natty or bust, but the coach has to compete for them.

1 to 5 to 10 is a trend. 6 to 9 is improvement. We’ll see about this year. So far, the record shows that Fisch develops his programs and they get better. Below average coaches don’t do that. He’s certainly above average. If he didn’t take over Arizona, he would be well over a .500 coach.

We, and I’m assuming you as well, said the same shit about Cristobal being under .500. He had a terrible record before Oregon. He’s not the premier coach in the game, but he wins. He’s another example of having a bad first two years (worse than Fisch at UW). 12-13 his first two years at Miami. Natty appearance in year 4.

So when will UW be more talented than Oregon, Ohio State or Michigan? The last time you? lost a coach the recruiting class was ranked 14th in the B1G. Michigan lost their coach a few weeks ago and finished ranked 4th.

When will Oregon be more talented than Indiana? That is the real question.

Yeah, only simpletons can criticize short side options with Will Rogers with the game on the line.

Petersen's offense also sucked at play calling and everyone here criticized it. So I guess everyone here is a simpleton.

Both offenses did not run the ball enough and abandoned it too soon in games. Both offenses had a lot of pieces to do better than they did and were typically well coached in many other aspects.

Thus far, Fisch needs to be a CEO hc and stop calling plays. But he isnt going to relinquish that so we better hope he figures it out.
Hope is not a method.

Not that it matters, but here is a Fisch quote I read today. He guarantees we will have a better team.

“We are to going to bring in players and we are going to develop those players and see how good they can get," he said of his high school recruits. "I will guarantee you that we will have a better team."
What do we get if he doesn’t live up to his guarantee?

2025 season, but it didn't matter. Probably won't in 2026, either.
Ok honest question to a Hated Duck (yet HCH brethren):

Do you think the problem is and has been that all of the positives that came from Nike buying your Athletic Dept in the 90s are also the source of the negatives i.e. flying to close to the Sun and forgetting who you really are - which is a small community in a cool state and not "That team out West"? We make fun or Oregon winning the offseason, because you out-recruit us every year and it makes us jealous. But at some point, winning the off-season every year should eventually lead to winning the season. I know there have been some close ones (like when Chip Kelly changed the rules and forget to inform the rest of the country).

Indiana avoided this problem by doing it in all two years, so the country hasn't caught on to them like they have with the Uncle Phil fatigue that has gripped the nation outside of ESPN and Eugene OR.

Before you say it, we all know UW doesn't have either problem.
