Fisch said he was looking at 10-12 adds into the program … when I went through the needs on the roster I came up with 10

better be doable. OP and myself (others?) just question if fish can get the talent needed… he can get bodies, can he find a couple diamonds in the rough and then beat a couple teams for kids he shouldn’t be beating? If yes, then 10 wins better happen.

It's still going to be a young roster next year and you have Ohio St and Oregon at home who will almost assuredly have a talent advantage over UW (on paper).
I would think the lowest projection for wins next year would 7.5 at the moment and I'd personally set it at 8.5. I think there's room for that to bump up even higher.

I really don't understand the doubt
Fisch's first full recruiting class is going to be better than Petersen's first full recruiting class
Fisch didn't have a full portal to work with in his Year 1 to mend the gaps in the roster that he inherited
Fisch's track record at Arizona showed significant progress from Year 1 to Year 2 and from Year 2 to Year 3 … he also showed an ability to identify talent and win recruiting battles to get very solid talent to Tucson for football (not easy)
If Fisch isn't able to actively win in the portal or in high school recruiting, it's going to be much more due to the lack of financial commitment of the Athletic Department and the donor base than it will be because he's not cut out for the job.

By all accounts DeBoer was offered very good money to stay … he wasn't interested
I had conversations with people on the inside of the program before he ever left that there was real concern about getting him extended
The fact of the matter is that he viewed UW as a stepping stone to what he thought was bigger and better …
We'll see how that works out for him
