So, when Trump was demanding a ceasefire and Zelensky said no, that was a clown show. But for some strange reason, now the Euros and Zelensky are working on a ceasefire. Euros and Zelensky will be demanding that the Russians keep only the Crimea and give up the territory they captured in this latest incursion. Many geopolitical pundits who are of the realism camp said from the start of the Ukraine war that it would be settled on the battlefield. Russia's military superiority has been evident to all - especially in the last two years of the conflict - which is of course why Kiev has remained totally reliant on military arms and aid from US-NATO countries.
This week as international press was focused on a flurry of diplomatic activity, which saw President Trump host France's Macron, the UK's Starmer, and Ukraine's Zelensky - all in quick succession, there hasn't been enough attention paid to developments on the battlefield in Ukraine's east.

Supposedly Europes combined economy is roughly equal to the US’s. They don’t need us on paper. The bigger scandal is what did Europe do with all of its money?

Sounds like Starmer is now in the Neville Chamberlain role as the MAC conference leaders are seeking peace with Putin. You need new talking points.

Europe joining the fight in Ukraine, of course. Ukraine and Europe are behind the 8-ball now that America has abandoned its allies. I don't see many other options. Doubt it will be front-line trench fighting any time soon, but logistics, air support, a presence in Western Ukraine, etc, to start.

Europe has to pretend like America doesn't exist for all intents and purposes. America's abandonment just created the conditions for a full-blown war between Europe and Russia. Gonna be extra special when America leaves NATO.

How do you reconcile Germany and other NATO countries funding Russia’s war efforts by purchasing natural gas and oil from Putin?

I’ll add that Trump is going to say NATO Article 5 will not apply if the UK and France send troops to the frontlines and they start being g killed.
Those countries are ready to destroy NATO for Zelesnsky and the continuing grift.

I wouldn't expect Article 5 to apply in Ukraine. Ukraine isn't in NATO.
 
Europe will call for it if a UK unit gets shelled in Ukraine though.

Europe was behind the 8 ball day one because they failed to increase defense spending when Trump told them the first time.
They have had 3 years to re arm and mobilize bought with Ukrainian blood and have completely failed to.
Starmer acting like he's got anything at this point is hilarious posturing at best.

The UK can’t arm Ukraine without US private defense corporate involvement.

All they can do is send cash that they have to borrow.

That cash will either be laundered and stolen or it will be spent on munitions from….US arms corporations. lol.
