Vancouver: Fortside (on your list) but you need Trap Door and Loowit as well.

Portland: you need Great Notion and Gigantic. Great Notion makes the best fruit based beers on the entire West Coast. Labrewatory is (was) also a must. They're still alive but they're swallowed up by the Mexican place next door but you can still sit down and get their shit. They used to make tons of experimental batches with other breweries all over the area, and most were great. Kobe's economy destroyed them.

Camas: Mill City, but no Grains of Wrath? 😆 GoW is the closest thing you'll get to a Bend area establisent here.

Washougal has better places anyways. 5440, etc.

Yup, I read the whole list. I’m actually wearing a Low Tide (South Carolina) t-shirt today.
 
Had a flight at Great Notion in Ballard on Saturday. I typically LOVE their stuff. I said, "Give me all five of the stouts."

Did not finish a single one. I've never experienced such a stark contrast between expectations and reality in the beer world. Several were downright disgusting. Did not think that possible from them.
 
Great Notion produces the best fruit beers. Friend I hired recently had me over to his house and had an orange beer that was like drinking an alcoholic smoothie. I don't normally like stuff that sweet but I have to respect their niche. It's second to none. Friend also says their quality reduces hangover substantially.

I don't live in Portland anymore, hardly go there, and haven't had much of their stuff outside of fruit IPAs and Pales.
 
When I waited tables at Chili's in my early 20s we had Yuengling on tap and people went crazy for that shit. I never knew it existed before that. At first I thought it was some Asian beer or something based on the name. @RoadDawg55

Yuengling has some seriously loyal drinkers.

Microbreweries make their own versions of shitty beer now (but better quality) so there isn't much excuse to drink shitty beer unless you're a poor.

No hangover because of the quality.

No,it’s shitty. There are many “drink all day” beers now that say Yuengling is shitty.
 

[/list]Some of you I think I are the types that go up to the bar and sample 10 beers before you pick one while holding up the fucking line for people who don’t need to act like they are beer experts and if they want to try something they have never had, will go ahead and risk the $5 and get a pint.

Microbreweries make their own versions of shitty beer now (but better quality) so there isn't much excuse to drink shitty beer unless you're a poor.

No hangover because of the quality.

I did exactly this today. In fact, not only did I do this, but I did this for a totally Hardcore Husky reason: When I found out that the Deep Draft Brewing porter was brewed on a dirty, rainy night in Gorst, I was sold.
