Your favorite novel?

Read Shantaram unfortunately AFTER I spent time in Bombay/Mumbai but still while living in India. Coincidentally, I had stayed in the same shitty hotel featured in the book without realizing it.

If you enjoyed it also read

I can't read.

I'm guessing you've just memorized the labels on the bottles of fire water, or you do your best Todd Graham and just get by.

I guess you never realized that they made each brand of booze bottle unique for just such a consumer. No reading or labels necessary.

Not really a novel, but the guy from The Most Dangerous Game is my idol. I'd love to live on an island and hunt people.

Also, LotR is the GOAT. Lord of the Flies is also good.

Always took you to be a Hardy Boys guy

What? Why? I don't understand this post.

It's just a lame joke. You're kind of an odd duck, so it would make sense you read The Hardy Boys.

In other words, hardy har har

J is a DAWG, Derek. An odd DAWG, but a DAWG nonetheless.

I wouldn't argue too much against this.

It's too bad it is banned in many places because the language used makes people 'uncomfortable'. Isn't that the point?

It wasn’t banned for bad language.

Uh...yeah - it was.

Along with immorality, rape, etc.

But the use of the N word figures prominently.

Rabbit, Run by Updike is up there.

Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk is pretty awesome.
