Watched it again over the weekend. The start of the NW Championship season and UW on a 2 game win streak after the 2 game losing streak. Home game Friday night.

Oregon State marched the field and scored. Then marched twice and got stopped on 4th down in the red zone. That was the extent of the vaunted Beaver offense and the oft maligned Husky defense had one of their better games.

Penix had yet ANOTHER pick 6 which kept the Beavs in the game.

Penix also was magic on third and long - a trait he kept up the rest of the season. Drove the field to win the game

The lights went out for 30 minutes.

Anyway for the Beaver fans - you lost. You deserved to lose. Washington was better

I have also rewatched Michigan State, Cal and Stanford. This Beaver game was where the squad really started believing. The other wins had plenty of frustration. This was just a good ball game between two good teams

And it set the table for the last three games
 
There are a bunch of dipshits on Twitter spamming the notion that Smith only lost because he didn't opt for field goals (even though he has a terrible kicker).

He went for it over and over because he knew UW would make adjustments and march down the field over and over in the second half. Which is part of what makes the offense great. It's designed to burn clock as a primarily passing offense. By the final drive the vaunted beav DB's were too gassed to do what they did in the first quarter.

That was definitely a game Petersen loses.

that game was played in a 60 mph wind tunnel. Kicking would have been fs + if there wasn't insane wind we likely blow them out

There are over generally over 150 plays in a game. Only knuckle- dragging meatheads will pick one or two and say that’s the reason they lost.

They may have won 11 games with dj at qb this year. All the qb has to do is hand it off and hit a wide open wr off of play action every now and again. Their wr’s and qb are a disgrace to d1 football.

That said they will find a way to screw it up. It’s the beav.

It was about all the under achieving the talent did coming to a culmination in 2013. They were taking about how the team should be blowing out some teams every now and then but instead had lack luster wins like @illinois and @cal where they won but looked like undisciplined shit to which Kim replied “like the Oregon state game ;).” We put up 60 something on them and sark wore the stupid beanie over the baseball cap.
