My take is that she is the head of athletics at UW. It's a big responsibility, and if you don't have a leopard print jacket large enough to handle everything that falls within her realm, then it's time to find someone else to get things right.
The game day experience at Husky Stadium is abysmal. The marketing is blase. The basketball program is a laughingstock. The budget is broken.
Fans want to be proud of the teams they love, they want to be engaged and feel like they're part of the excitement. They want to feel like the future is bright and they want to know their dollars are going to be put to good use.
What has Cohen done to instill confidence that she knows what the fuck she's doing? Would you want to work for her? Would you trust her with thousands of dollars?
Ultimately, the girls in charge at UW don't give a shit about the fans. And that means nothing will change anytime soon.
We've won four versus U of hO in this century. We? hired an Oregon grad to head NIL, which, right or wrong, is crucial for four and five stars. These people don't take winning seriously and that won't change any time soon.
The irony here is that Jen is all in on the game day experience for the fans except where it matters on the field.
