The data I'm tracking is that small landlords are selling. Purchasers of single family rentals are owner-occupiers because there are no SF properties in the city with a cap rate that makes it feasible to rent. So those units are lost from the market. Other smaller and older buildings are being sold to developers who tear the buildings down to take advantage of upzoned parcels. All this stuff does is exaggerate rent increases.

Anyways, the real issue here is that the voters of the city continue to elect people like Sawant. I don't blame the Council. They're doing exactly what they said they would do if elected. The people who vote in Seattle are the real fucktards[/b].
