I don't see even the doogliest here giving Pete more time.
The leveling up, super cool Clemson, ///, everything Matters bullshit never belonged to me.
I wanted another conference title and a new years 6 bull which after 6 seasons it's clear everything has to fall 100% perfectly for this staff to even be in the realm of upsetting an Iowa/Mich State type of team for that.
I give you shit more out of the Oregon takes. You (and you are certainly not alone on this) buried Cristobal before he even got started. The overrated recruiting chatter has quieted significantly; but the meathead poser tuff guy take still holds here.
He may as yet shit the bed this season. Time will tell. The O offense is almost as shitty as Washington's. That will cost them eventually, particularly on the road.
It's hard to judge Cristobal's skills or lack thereof when he continues to employ an asshat as OC. Cristobal is too chummy with his old friends and wants to give them jerbs, he needs to cut ties with these incompetent lackeys. Arroyo should have been fired at the end of last season. He hasn't found a competent QB to replace Herbert yet either.
Dude. By all accounts Shough (or however you spell it) is a strong successor. I get the frustrations with Herbert but you're a little over the top with it. He's not the most mentally strong guy I've seen play, but the guy can and does make all the throws. He's a little slow and tentative and times, but then again, he's looking at what Eason is looking at: midgets and a tight end. Herbert deals with that by being too careful and indecisive; Eason deals with it by just ripping the shit out of the ball and hoping it works out. Both flawed, but neither is a shit case.
As to coordinators ... jury is out on Arroyo, but it's pretty clear he made a good hire in Avalos.
In the case of Marcus Arroyo vs Oregon, the jury has reached a verdict:

His impotent offense is the weak link. I've seen nothing from Shough that indicates whether is he is good or a dud. But the fact that Herbert remains the starting QB isn't a good sign. Other teams have the @ballz to replace their starting QBs when they are underperforming.
The biggest issue is our lack of a running game. That has a lot to do with the backs not having the build to be successful in a pistol set. The pistol is most effective with strong north/south backs. Our current backs go down when the wind changes. They need to run the offense out of the spread until they get a LaGarret Blount bruiser in the backfield
Verdell is pretty physical a d Norh/ South but is injury prone.
Notice Oregon's running game goes wel early in almost any game until Versell inevitably get dinged. Then it disappears.
curiousbwhy Felix isn't part of the mix.
Me too, Felix has proved to be good so far, and he showed up for the Auburn game. Felix >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dye. Felix must have got into some kind of trouble recently, didn't see him play at all against Cal.
Last time I saw him touch the ball was late in the 4th against Montana. He housed that one but it was Montana.
If Oregon lands Noah Sewell, I'd love to see him at half back.
