The Federal Reserve & the end of the Gold Standard has served to loot and destroy the middle class, the wage-earner and gradually transfer money and wealth (through the income tax and inflation) to the elites. It transformed this country from one that produces, saves and invests to one that borrows and consumes.

The reality is the free market with free banking and sound money was the system that this country flourished under for nearly 200 years. We don't have that today and haven't had that in a long time.

Sure we have lots of nice gadgets today (who gives a fuck about a stupid app) but overall living standards and quality of life should have improved much more and much faster than what we've experienced in the last several decades.

I probably don't agree with you on everything, but it is amazing how many Americans are clueless and don't even give this stuff a second thought. Obviously, Husky Football doesn't compare to the seriousness of all the corrupt ways of the USA, but the same stuff goes on.
