England Dan and John Ford Coley weep.

And, I'm sorry, but Player and Ambrosia are Top 5 worthy every day of the week. In fact, the Throbber just got a flashback boner to Junior Prom slow dance on Baby Come Back. brb, yo.

We can add them. They are both worthy and have been played on the yacht I sail on.

If I were on a yacht, I wouldn't listen to any of Yella's choices. Yachts and rap go together. Yachts and old man music do not.

Lots of old, rich, white guys own yachts. But, yes, Yacht Rock as a genre reached it's zenith in the late 70s and early 80s.

In the sail boat I crew on there's no mutual exclusivity between enjoying yacht rock and hip hop. We play both with regularity.

Rented a house boat for our week long senior trip to Lake Shasta. We played Nelly's first album the entire time. Not rock, but a good time nonetheless.

Interesting mix. A few of those make me want hot ice picks in my eardrum. A few others are guilty pleasures. A few are are among my favorite songs. I often forget about Dirty Work. Thanks for reminding me.

Reggae trumps rap as summer time boating music by the way and it's not even close.

And thanks for your service reminding me of yacht rock. Just tuned in to SiriusXM 311.

You have NO idea the damage Benny Mardones did.

Solid list, just a couple edits, and if you wanted to go full Yacht, you could add "Sailing - Christopher Cross".

No Gino Vannelli. Sad.
