I always hated Dave Matthews band. I also hated that the girls I ran with in high school thought he was amazing.

I’m not really into his music but I don’t think you can deny that they’re a talented band. Dave Matthews had a really unique style of guitar playing and the songs are compositionally very good. They’re also better live than on albums which is the tell-tale sign of talented musicians in my opinion.

Once again, not really my shit but I get why people like them.

+100 Exactly how I feel. The way they incorporated the fiddle wasn't hoakey. I always felt like I should like them more because they're talented, but I couldn't get into it.

I think my wife and I have always had an unspoken "I won't drag you to my shit, you don't drag me to yours" agreement. Only concerts we've been to together (not many, really) were things we both like. Same reason she's only been to a couple of games and the others I've broed-out or taken my dad.
