Are they still hard to come by?

I'm asking for a friend who has the chance to walk on at a premier program, but his parents are pressuring to take the full ride @ WSU
 
A free education for exercising is not a bad thin no matter where you go. Cause you know track and field exercisers are not athletes, they are just real good at exercising.
