Deep dark shit indeed. One does have to wonder How the police had to go find him in an apartment where a rifle round had went off earlier in the day or night before. 1 gun shot is loud but unless you’re right next door to where it happened, it’s hard to tell where it came from. After the 1st shot, you listen for more but if there aren’t any, you sit and wait before moving on.

Think of the scene in the original Red Dawn (RIP Patrick Swayze) when they shoot the deer.

The head makes an effective silencer. When I was a kid, one of our neighbors blew his own head off with a shotgun in his apartment, and his body wasn't found for several days. More recently, when my cousin's husband blew his head off in his son's bedroom during a SWAT standoff after murdering my aunt and uncle, the SWAT outside didn't know until they sent in a flashbang robot with a camera.

This is obviously unfortunate. I've had friends growing up that were in combat and other I've met while serving who were in that have taken their own lives. Get help. If you ever have the slightest thought and ending it all might be the answer start getting help then.

I can't imagine the demons this kid was dealing with. A QB at a P5 school with the keys to the starting spot is the dream of the bulk of male youth. You'd have to be in a bad place to want to throw that away.

Neville has basically zero chance at starting. He showed complete disinterest and lack of effort with the scout team this fall. I'm convinced he's on the roster to show that WSU gives second chances and doesn't pull scholarships, and also as an extra arm for passing drills. Hilinski's suicide is probably the only thing keeping the coaches from having the "you should transfer" conversation with him.

The freshmen players rally around Bledsoe. Look for either Bledsoe or Cammon Cooper who just arrived on campus a couple weeks ago to be starter in 2018.

This happened mid-day in an apartment complex - each building having 8 units each. Most people probably on campus. Players went to check on him when he didn't show for afternoon weightlifting sessions and wasn't responding on his phone. Police were called after the discovery.

The Cougs and Coach Leach proved in 2014 they believed in second chances when starting cornerback Daquawn Brown remained on the team after he punched a girl in the face at a party and knocked her unconscious, according to court records.

Seven months later, Brown finished the season as WSU's leading tackler.
