This. In my opinion the recruiting grade is equal parts process as it is result. Fact of the matter is Ngata was always our top guy, and we had too many advantage there to not feel good about it. The fact Lubick not only couldn’t get an OV from him but also let him get away in June is pathetic. Even if we end up with Ford, who we weren’t even in on until Taj Davis got him to check back in with UW in August, you can’t give him an A.

The BBK hate was always retarded and I said that repeatedly. Jones is a TBS/doog legend at this point.

Ty Jones was a good recruit, but he wasn’t on Ford or Ngata’s level. His hudl is about 90% go’s with a few outs mixed in. Tons of contested catches when he wasn’t open. Not very much YAC, which is pretty rare for a high profile high school WR. Separation is not his specialty, but my god he is much faster (and better) than Lenius.

I think he’ll be good, but Browning isn’t the type of QB to profile what Jones is best at. Browning doesn’t have the arm to hit 1/2 of Jones’ 20 TD’s catches as a high school senior.

As for the 2019 recruiting class, give me Ford and I’m happy with the WR recruiting. There are rumors he doesn’t want to play with Bru and he didn’t sign early with SC for a reason. The more time away from his SC visit the better I feel. If he wants to be the guy, play for a team that develops talent and wins, play with a 5 star QB... UW is the easy choice.

Very little to no drop off when Azeem got hurt in 2016. He was better than Bierria and Victor in 2017. He’s not out there because Pete owed him a favor. He’s good and was always good. He didn’t redshirt his freshman year and was never a liability.

Constantine, Lawyer, and Manu are/were liabilities. BBK was always undersized but good. Try watching the games and not parroting DDY.
