Wow - RIP Robin Williams

He had some pretty good dramas. He's a creepy fuck in One Hour Photo. I never found him funny though. Same with Jim Carrey. They are both too manic.

I can understand not liking Williams' humor (I found it very hit or miss), but if you never found Jim Carrey funny you have to have been super young when Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura came out. Carrey was the funniest man alive for a solid five years. @Fire_Marshall_Bill will back me on that.

I guess it depends when you think old age begins... but I think many people consider old age to start at 65, and middle age is the period before that. Don't know anybody (besides you) that seems to think middle aged = your ending age divided by 2. YMMV.

Yes PSH was overweight (though not in Capote), but I think Williams was certainly heavier than the BMI for his height... maybe not so overweight that he needed to diet.. but I'd guess he was at least a size 38+ waist. Maybe he was just big boned.... or I could just be wrong.

For 63, I wouldn't say he was a fat guy. Always seemed normal to me.

Doubt it, but if believing that helps you get over being wrong about the definition of middle aged... knock yourself out. I don't really care.
 
Favorite Robin Williams roles? Here's my top 5:

5. Jumanji - Alan Parish. After much internal debate, this one barely beats out Walter Finch in Insomnia and Popeye. Fun movie, Williams in his wheelhouse.
4. Hook - Peter Banning. "Bangarang!"
3. John Keating - Dead Poets Society. Williams carried this amazing film. Couldn't name another actor in it. Going to have to watch this again soon.
2. Sean McGuire - Good Will Hunting (fave Williams character line: "I had to see about a girl")
1. Genie - Alladin . Best Cartoon Role Ever. Nobody else makes genie work like Williams did. Showed off a surprisingly good singing voice too.

Can't think of anyone else as comedically talented who could pull off Keating and McGuire. Amazing talent. He'll be missed. Been awhile since he was super relevant though.

I'm sure it belongs, just never seen it. Seen the clip of him shouting "Good Morning, Vietnam!" a million times, but that's it. Still need to see Patch Adams and Bicentennial Man also.

What I said was I don't really care. Which is caring, but not really caring. So, it is true that I could care less, but I could also care more. But I don't.

 
I never cared for anything comedic he did, but I actually enjoyed him as a serious, semi/serious actor.

Patch Adams is good. Philip Seymour Hoffman is the 2nd or 3rd lead in that one too.
