For the setting, the stakes, the opponent and the advantages we had, just a complete crapstorm.

This is the only thing in the history of this bored you've said that is actually true.

The division was absolutely shit tier this year.

A few programs were ended from such an embarrassment. Stanford and Oregon to name a few.
 
I don't think Leach game plans against opponents well. he simply refines his system. (An example of that is his refusal to do trick plays. I was startled to see the Cougs try a Wildcat look. Which worked. A total anomaly.)

To a great extent, that has worked for him, so he's not going to change. And the fact that he gives us more wins per recruiting ranking than most Pac-12 teams, he shouldn't change. But it does mean we throw out some stinkers.

Right because the Alamo Bowl is a real barometer as to the strength of a Conference.
