This is adding an extra body for depth. Which is fine. He's not the guy.

3rd in Walter Peyton voting last year, great stats, highlights are really good, guy can throw and run, honestly based on my three minutes of research and scouting I’m ready to name him the starter. He’s definitely not a scrub, he’s coming here to win the job.
 
I like that he had 12 rushing teeders. He's definitely mobile, which raises my eyebrows. If he beats out Sirmon, so be it. Can't really lose with this move. I'm calm.

His stats aren't great.

The running threat is interesting. Doesn't seem like where the offense is heading but I definitely appreciate a QB who can add an extra dimension.

I still don't think he's the guy.

What an interview. He sounds like he wants to be the best player on the field and will do whatever it takes to win the game. How many years of Highschool did he have?

Not sexy but lets be honest guys, I feel better with a guy who has actually thrown a football in a game at the college level in the QB room. Even if he is a backup, I'm fine with it. Semi-mobile. Serviceable backup or who knows maybe he is good. Worst case we added some depth in the most important position which also happens to be the position we have the least experience.

Really hard to keep a fully stocked QB room, bitches all wanna play I guess (lookin at you Yankoff) Gotta fill it up with something, and I don't think we could use anymore walkon clipboard kids.
 
How does this guy have eligibility left? He enrolled at UNLV in Jan 2014.

The best possible view is that he thinks Sirmon is transferring if he doesn't win the job and isn't confident he will win the job and he didn't want to go into the year with 2 scholarship QBs.

The likely view is Lake hates our QBs.
