I'm ok giving a scholarship to a LS. The top ones expect it. We gave one to Carty 5 years ago and I dont remember him snapping it over the punter's head or into the ground or anything catastrophic like that in his time here. It's worth it to have a good guy at that position.

Not having any memory whatsoever of a long snapper is the highest endorsement.

I remember bitching about using a scholly on a LS, but you're absolutely right, we've heard literally nothing about him since then and that's worth more than just one scholarship.
