Sounds like they think he'll be up near 300 by the time he's at UW. Could very easily be moved to O line

Again, if recruiting is going this terribly, I'd rather Jimmy just shut it down and sit on his hands until the season starts and see if you can catch fire and get some momentum going again. You can get guys like this by offering them the day before signing day even if they are already committed to Central or PLU or whatever.

It reeks of lazy coaching, a quitters mentality, or both.

Three of our last 5 commits you could have offered them 6:59 am the morning of either signing day, and they fax their commitment to UW 2 minutes later.

We are doing this in what has become the meat of the recruiting season since it's now become having your classes wrapped up by the start of September.

I am at a loss for words on what Lake and Company are doing right now. We are recruiting like the last 4 years were the TY Willingham regime and record instead of 3 NY6 bowls and 2 Pac-12 Championships.

I know Pete's not there, but this is something else.

 
Not sure where he saw this but Dawg101 on BDTW posted that sonics says Lake offered this kid out of frustration/panic because Schuster got cold feed about committing today. If this is true it's a HUGE red flag about Lake. The lack of discipline and desperation of this move does not bode well to how he'll perform as an in game coach.

More recruiting classes like this one it won't matter how he is as a in game coach.
 
Supposedly we are getting another commit today and the only comment I've seen from someone who claims to know who it is is "Dont know how excited everyone else will be but I'm excited"
 
It's threads like this that make me wish this whole board were Members Only. The frustration and confusion stemming from this commitment are understandable, so analysis and venting are appropriate, but sure would be shitty to be this kid checking in on his commit thread.

Mostly, though, I just want to be able to leave my jacket in Jimmy Lakes office in order to gain super insider access.

Per Eklund the kid is not committing today because his commitment video isnt done yet.

Hope he doesnt wait too long though. There's a fullback/long snapper from Forks High School that the coaches have been looking at and an offer could come at any time

Kid is probably as surprised as we are he got an offer.

Crossing my fingers it's another Chris Sailer-approved punter. You know Bob likes his depth at the kicking positions. No need to offer a PWO spot right now. Choate is pressing for a commitment, arguing he's got better ST credentials and Bozeman elevation augments kicking distance. Gonna be close. Rolo could get involved, too. Heard from sources that Rolo bought the kid's dad a beer during his Seattle bar crawl with all the West Side Cuogs.

He must have been caught off guard by the offer not to have the video ready. Sounds like Jimmy went and got himself another top shelf guy.

So a player that no one knows who it is, and that no one is talking about, is silently milking his 15 min (12 hours) of fame. That makes no fucking sense.
