This reminds me of when I was a scoot, sitting in the press box at UW during a rain delay with several others. A colleague entered, very somber. He said he had just returned from seeing his dying grandfather. With the room filled with family, his grandpa motioned him to come over, and brought him in close. He was expecting some profound words of wisdom, a nugget to guide him through the rest of his life.

His grandpa whispered to him, "John, I have one regret in my long life, and I will share it with you. If I could do it all over again, I would have fucked them all...the fat ones, the ugly ones, all of them". True story, and CSB...

That's exactly the conclusion reached by my older brother and I while we still had enough memory cells to lament some of the willing chicks we had passed on. I thought I'd slowly grow out of that as an old man, but maybe not.

I thought briefly about passing that bit of wisdom on to my son. It's probably better that it never came up.
 
It's the fish we lose that still haunt us every now and then, that big chrome steelhead that was so close, yet so far away. I guess women are the same way, I look back and shake my head on what kind of dumbass I was at times. Now I just cast repeatedly in the same hole getting the same results...alot like fishing Reiter Ponds
