I used to fly ANA (and Singapore Air) quite a bit from Dulles to Tokyo and Tokyo to Singapore. Some absolute top shelf talent with the Asian airlines. All women, not one of them over 35, all attractive and slender, and all dressed like geishas. Long haul business class is a dream with them. I also used to do a bunch of long haul with United. Differences could not be more stark. Not one attendant UNDER 40. In many convos with them mid flight in the galley area it appears that the primo schedules are the long haul schedules, and thus seniority rules, and thus they are full of crypt keepers. But they were always at least friendly in Polaris business on long hauls…even if the median age was 50+. Domestic US major air travel is the absolute worst experience ever. I always fly first because I have about a billion miles still, and it's still hot garbage.
One other plug. The Middle East airlines were even better than the Asian airlines. Emirates and Qatar get absolute top shelf Turkish women (I assume) and the service is exceptional.
