DeSantis scored a win in Florida that was one for the record books. In Miami-Dade County, a region which President Joe Biden won by 16 percentage points in 2020, the popular governor won easily. Not only was the margin of victory astounding in itself, it also reinforced an emerging reality: Hispanic voters may be shifting their long-term alliance to Republicans.

DeSantis won because he embraced Trumpian policies, stood firm against the woke mob, led his state through the pandemic with brilliance and, more recently, managed the horrific damage done by Hurricane Ian with great competence.[/b] Florida residents rewarded the popular governor by re-electing him with roughly a 19-point margin over his opponent, Democrat Charlie Crist.

On the heels of his win, DeSantis delivered a barnburner victory speech, laying down markers for what will surely be a run for president in 2024 and declaring, "I have only begun to fight"

Again I'm comfortable with DeSantis until I am not. It is the better option

As far as the game goes Trump was looking to ride a red wave to an announcement for 24. That is pretty much a thud despite my fair analysis of what he helped in 22 and my stubborn refusal to submit to the narrative.

DeSantis has the big dick now. I am legit interested in what guys like Teq and Yella think of him as a barometer of how the housewives may break in 24. Yes, that was a subtle jab. Maybe not so subtle

It is pretty easy to paint DeSantis as a maga moron because he is. He can try to distance from Trump but the narrative won't let him

If he's right on the issues he gets my vote. Simple as that

If a democrat fought the insanity of the left I'd give them a look

Missing in all these calculations are life long liberal democrats like myself who fund some sanity in the insanity of Trump. I basically hate the GOP and always have

Amazing how Florida was able to count nearly all of their votes by midnight last night but we're still waiting on Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, PA, Wisconsin, Oregon and a number of other states.

Yup, GOP needs to do the same thing back, rhey need to ballot harvest their area's if it is legal
