We haven't seen a media guy suck a coach's dick this hard since Sark left Montlake
I mean I wish there had been Seattle writers pushing for Sark to get hired at USC in 2013 but it worked out anyway.

If the threshold for being a good coach is staying within one score of Oregon a couple of times pretty much every head coach in the country is on the table, including Lake.

Academically prowess you lack. 26-16=10
Media = Medium = Hypnotizing Minds
When a story is getting out like this one is it's usually preparing the readers/fanbase for a future paradigm related event.
I like Jimmy Lake as a person but not as the head coach of the UW football team. I supported his hire early on until he hired John Donovan as his OC then questioned his judgment. African American head coaches in college football are few and far between especially at power 5 programs. If Lake had been provided an opportunity that many dream of he should hire, surround himself with the best people to ensure the best possible environment for his head coaching tenure. He failed at that big time with the hiring of a secretarial assistant to the assistant RB coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars at UW TE coach Derham Cato's recommendation.
Jimmy Lake, if fired-resigns-bought out, has no one to blame but himself in this situation. He gave a lot ammunition to everyone that wanted him fired for whatever reason(s).

When the incumbent was Larry Scott, anyone would be considered qualified.
Even so, holy shit what a terrible take, even by Wilner standards.
