bbbbbut... Bill Moos said last years 2 win season was a vast improvement over the 6 win/bowl game season of a year ago... and that defense rankings below 100th don't tell the full story of just how much better the Cuogs are under Leach.

... just don't point out to Cuog fans Paul Wulff had a better defense in year 3 than Leach did in year 3.
 
Leach only cares about passing statistics. He refuses to care about wins, the run game, or defense.

1) He's breathing.
2) His lips move.

 
Leach had success in the Big 12 because at the time, his system was unique and difficult to prepare for. A lot harder in the Pac 12 where half the teams run similar systems as Leach and all the teams are accustomed to playing against it.
 
I think that the dregs Leach was able to get at Texas Tech might have been better than what he is pulling to Pullman.

Mike Leach is a self-created legend.

If you look at his record at Tech it is respectable.

However, it is 1 great season, 1 good season, and numerous average seasons.

He only beat Texas twice and once on a hail mary with Crabtree.

He increased Tech's wins on average by 1 a year from the dude he took over for.

Over ... rated.
 
I know some Coogs who are convinced that the DC hire is currently working for an NFL playoff team hence the delayed announcement.

No names given, they're just convinced the DC hire is currently in the playoff run but that since they've signed some defensive recruits that Leach has been telling those kids who it is.
