Saw I think a Barstool guy say Day could do wonders for his image simply by letting his beard go gray. Agree. I think it was in response to a recent video of some Michigan fan tricking him into taking a picture with him and then talking shit and him responding really well to it. Day gets a Husky hood pass for what he did to Oregon in Pasadena for now. No other Tuff Guy Award Winner would be able to do something like that.
Crisco would have gotten a rematch and tried to run the ball up the middle all game and prove something then lost again. Jimmy would have taken that Ohio State team and gone 7-5. Lanning would have won the first game at home by one point and then got gutter fucked in the one that mattered.

Ryan Day never sees the end of that contract one way or the other.
He either jumps to NFL b4 then, or he doesn't beat Michigan and/or win enough NC's and they move on.
After this years Michigan loss, had he not went on to win the NC, odds are higher than not Buckeye Nation would have torpedo'd him out of Columbus.
If they lose to the Wolverines again this year and don't make semifinals it's a coin flip at best if he sees 2026 there.
Yes it's a 70 million dollar buy out, and Ohio State doesn't have the Phil Knight, Larry Ellison white whale, or oil Money boosters, but they are one of the dozen or so schools that would figure a way to move on from him if that's what they believe needs to be done.
