Why Thousands of Aircraft are Abandoned in the Arizona Desert

Thanks Taft!

I’ve been there in 96. I’m 81% sure we were able to drive through and look at the planes up close but I don’t remember if anyone could access the base or we got in because we were active duty (TMFMS).

Hard soil (don't need to built run ways).

Dry climate (no hangers needed).

Arizona is like the best spot on Earth to store old planes.

@Logistics ?

Budd Inlet used to have deactivated WW2 ships across from the country club

I used to love motor boating through Bremerton back in the 90s with the Iowa Class Battleships were still parked there.

Gotta love the Mighty MO!

I don't know why you give me that question.

Obvious answer is obvious.

BTW, it's "hangars".
