I do wonder if reasonable guidelines will come for NIL / portal madness so don't blame guys like Lance Holtzclaw for hoping to get paid $25k to $50k to transfer to a MWC school with a chance to start.

It’s harder for Fetters to rank portal guys because he only gets hard for teen bois.

Joel Klatt was talking about Indiana and Cignetti. Cignetti took 27 players from the portal last year. 14 became starters this season. Cignetti emphasized production and stats at their last school in selecting his portal players.
So taking mercenaries who actually started or played significantly, pays off.
Klatt also said that Michigan only let's DTs play up to 30 snaps a game to keep them fresh and rotates them constantly. Maybe UW needs to take 3-4 DTs from the portal this year.

I think almost all of those guys were from Cignetti's team so he definitely knew they could play or not. He also had good timing that he had a lot of proven upperclassmen he could take with him. Then he got the easiest schedule I've ever seen. I think we kind of thought that's what Fisch was gonna do but then he only managed to bring a few of his players, and not the most important ones.
There's no way players on the level of Michigan's two top 20 in the next draft DTs are available.
