I am literally on a Teams call right now with our Ukrainian based engineering and development team discussing business continuity plans in case Putin pulls the trigger. Our customers know where our dev team is located and want to be confident their business will not be interrupted. We've had to spin up a new team in India that for now will only be used for overflow projects. Not enough they have to worry about their country being being invaded but will their jobs move out of the country.

The left cries Trump was in Putin's pocket- but riddle me this Batman, Putin took Crimea under Biden and now Kiev is in the sight under Biden. How the Fuck do they explain this?

Is the sentiment over there that something is going to actually happen or is this more a cover your ass thing? Have a few contacts in Eastern Europe (not Ukraine) and they seem to think that all of this is nonsense and just Putin sensing American and European weakness and attempting to get some easy concessions. And then Biden trying to make it seem as if he is the one preventing WW3 to claim victory.
 
without reading the opinion piece, methinks the home front is so screwed up under Biden they need a war to deflect attention. Is that not the politicians way? Get something shiny for everyone to look at and they will ignore the facts.

It's odd. They know Russia is on the front door but still go about their business. Some of the older population are acting like Same Shit Different Day. For the younger crew they've never known the Soviet occupation so they don't know what to think about it.

I'd like to believe this is just saber rattling, but it worries me that Germany is not really on baord and then Putin shows up with Xi at the Olympics...

I work with a Russian woman who is married to a Ukrainian guy. His family is being inundated with calls from relatives in the States asking if everything is okay. Their general consensus is, “Why are you asking? What are you hearing? It’s really not that bad, we aren’t worried.” Me thinks it’s a big deal here because this admin needs a big deal to deflect from some other major, down home issues.
