Why did Pac12 wait so long to fire Larry Scott?

The university presidents kept him around because he prioritized the Olympic sports bs. People don't like to mix sports and politics, but this is the result of limp wristed West Coast personalities focused on equity and inclusion. They all wanted to promote women's softball as much as football. Sorry to offend anyone with the truth.
 
Most of what I read over the years a lot of the blame would be with the Oregon State AD or Prez. Not recalling which one.
