McCaffrey isn't the best running back in this list, but he played at a time where the risk of a loss mattered, and he was the reason that Stanford could give us a loss. Sure, Reggie Bush, for example, was electric, but those years it was sort of inevitable what was happening.

Someone like Marcus Allen I think would make sense per my rationale, but the was before my time.

Russell White at Cal (too high) in 90-91.

Bucky Irving right now.

Plenty of good RBs like those listed have embarrassed UW in between but how many of those were UW teams worth caring about?

Jones-Drew was my favorite of those listed.

So many of these guys played when UW was terrible so it didn’t matter. A lot of them played before I was born or was old enough to care. Deshaun Foster and MJD both played when UW was sort of playing for something and I have bad memories of both of them running for as many yards as they wanted.

Ken Simonton. No one. I mean no one likes to get wrecked by the beavs.

The Throbber has been wrecked by scary beavers on more than one occasion.

Way mas alcohol was usually involved.

White because he cost us in 79. UW actually beat Marcus Allen in his Heisman year

UW pretty much sucked when they played the rest

Tyrone Wheatley is upset

We beat Marcus, but he became the first running back to ever break 2,000 yards in a season during the game at Husky Stadium. I'm going off memory and this was 1981 so I might be off... But it seemed like he rushed 38 times for 155 yards. UW won 13-3

Remember that game because I didn't go. My sophomore year. Sat with a buddy in Haggett Hall and got stoned.

Listening to the roars from Husky Stadium when you are stoned ... good times.
