Saban has won 4 (FOUR!) National Championships. 3 with Alabama and 1 with LSU.

Meyer has won 2 and Kelly is 0-1.

That's pretty simplistic. There is no wrong answer, but it's not that hard to make a convincing case for Urban Meyer.

Saban - 19 years as a college head coach

Urban Meyer- 13 years.

If Ohio State wasn't on probation in 2012, the title count would likely be 3-3. 12-1 Alabama faced 12-0 Notre Dame. Ohio State was 12-0 that season. Maybe the BCS would have found a way to sneak Alabama in, but considering Ohio State and Notre Dame are two huge, prestigious programs, I highly doubt it.

They are 2-2 head to head. 3 of those 4 games had national title implications and might as well have been part of the playoffs. Both SEC title games were #1 vs #2. Urban Meyer has a higher winning percentage.
 
Saban has a slight edge in accomplishments, but Saban is not still coaching in 5 years. Urban will be. And I think Urban has passed him at this poont anyway.

If Urban pulls off a miracle next Monday he's got the best track record and the best future. Even if he doesn't, I'd take him over anyone in the college game.
