Which movie do you like because of your dad?

Road to Perdition was another great one.
My favorite mob movie. Better than anything by Scorcese, IMO.
The bad guys were pre-superstar Daniel Craig (fucking amazing in it, set him up for Layer Cake another all-timer) and fucking bald/serial killer Jude Law.
Tom Hanks has some quote about it being the best movie he's ever been a part of.

father, raised in Texas during the depression and WWll, blazing saddles. Although he rarely watched movies.

My mother, the jackass movies. The one where the dude took a shit in the hardware store made her cackle till she cried. She loved watching people do dumb shit.
I always assumed you were in your late 30s early 40s. Au contraire

I stopped in to see my pops one day near the end of his year long bout with cancer. He was having a rough day so I wanted to take his mind off fighting that fucking disease by watching a movie together. I asked what he wanted to watch. He told me, I called my best friend who owned a video store, and in 15 min he delivered the movie to the house. For the next 2h and 8 min we sat together in silence taking in The Pride of The Yankees. I had never watched the movie before, so at the end I'm a fucking mess trying to keep my composure. My dad passed a week later and I'm glad we had that moment together when we did.
Every year on his birthday I pour myself a stiff one from a special bottle of whiskey and watch The Pride of The Yankees.
