Rumor that Danny was talking to the Bears before the Rose Bowl. The irony would be illegal if he bailed and Oregon got the same deal UW got last year

Or maybe the soon to be 87 year old will abandon his efforts to buy a National Championship. He's pumped over $1 billion into Oregon and what has it really gotten him? Maybe he'll finally decide to pump much of his money into providing decent paying jobs in the USA rather than in Communist countries.

He’s bought multiple conference titles, two title game appearances and multiple off season natties in football, one final 4 in basketball and one final 4 in WBB. Not bad overall but not worth the 1 plus billion dollars to achieve.

And in the past decade, UW has won multiple conference titles, made the playoffs twice, won the Sugar Bowl, and went to a National Championship game. Imagine what UW could have done with even 1/4th of that money.
