@Swaye we have a mishmash of Xboxes, an Amazon fire stick, and a Roku on the various screens scattered about the house. All of them have Prime, and prime has HBO. I don't know about the Xboxes but the fire stick and Roku also have their own HBO app, separate from Amazon.

And ..you can buy the GOT episodes in HD through prime the night they come out for $3.99.

I haven't completely figured out the sports thing via streaming yet. You can get pretty much everythingbut I'm not yet convinced that it's all as hassle free as a dish sub nor am I sure how much $$ it really saves to get the same amount of content. Still, reached the fuck dish stage a couple of years ago and have rarely missed it.
