High character questioning of patriotism
With the midterm elections approaching, President Joe Biden called former President Donald Trump "the defeated former president of the United States," The Hill reported.
During a virtual address Monday to the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference, Biden criticized Trump's patriotism.
"You can't be pro-insurrection and pro-cop," Biden said. "You can't be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can't be pro-insurrection and pro-American."
On Tuesday, Biden directed a shot at Trump on Twitter.
"Call me old fashioned, but I don't think inciting a mob that attacks a police officer is 'respect for the law,'" Biden tweeted.
After ending his COVID-19 isolation this week, Biden appeared to take another shot at Trump when he noted the former president, who got COVID-19 before vaccines were available, had to be "helicoptered" to Walter Reed hospital.
