Do I think he's the most talented or best ever? Absolutely not, not even close.
But I dare anyone to name a single artist who's been as creatively unique and diverse in the the music he's put out. His albums are all so sonically diverse... and for the most part were completely original and groundbreaking stylistically when they were released. Whether you like or hate his music, it's hard to argue that he isn't creative as fuck.

It was an unpopular opinion at the time. Everyone thought they were money grubbing whores, which may be true, but who cares. They made the music. Would we expect farmers to give away their crops for free? I think Metallica would have had better public opinion if James had led the charge, vs. Lars. Lars is very unlikable when he speaks.

I thought it was mostly about hte record companies because artists make their money touring.

You're underrated list is solid. Overrated is partially correct, but you're dead ass wrong on Sinatra, Townshend and the Doors.
