90 proof or below for scotch or bourbon I go neat. 91 or above a splash of water. I do, however, like cheap 100 proof bourbon - e.g.
Wild Turkey on the rocks from time to time. 80 proof whiskey like Jack on the rocks tastes like watery piss.

The high test bourbons also make the best old fashioned. Knob Creek is good in the respect.
