What type of ego does Jedd have

I am pretty sure anyone who makes it in head coaching to a job of Washington's level has plenty of ego. I do think Peterlips was also in a lot of ways of not feeding into the typical ball coach bs and not having an agent and shit was a unicorn, though I think he was plenty stubborn and stuck in his way too and I think lacking some of that stereotypical win at all costs shit held him back at times.

Judd doesn't strike me as having a bigger ego than the average coach. The clinging to needing to call the plays shit seems like a problem though.
The best coaches admit to those things that they can't do as well as others. Jedd is of the opinion that no one can call plays better than he can. Jedd is wrong. It is his ego that is keeping him from the next level.

Same thing with the Demond fiasco. Jedd just would not cut bait. Even though it was OBVIOUSLY the best thing for the future of UW football.

This is a man who never played a game of football. He is good at many things (recruiting and developing players) but admitting that he might be wrong is NEVER a possibility. Apple cup short side option says hello. He blamed execution not play calling. THAT is Jedd in ALL OF HIS GLORY.

It's a good poont going back to the short side option.

I think what we see with Peterlips and Judd is guys who are good GMs, questionable or average game day coaches. I think finding corches who can master being a great GM and game day corch is pretty fucking hard. That's when you get a Dong James, Cignetti, Urban, Saban, etc.
