This is just a guess, but I see the officials handling the football much differently than a QB, Reciever or DB. That said, I'll bet that NFL officials will be more careful in the future.

This is just a guess, but I see the officials handling the football much differently than a QB, Reciever or DB. That said, I'll bet that NFL officials will be more careful in the future.

2 separate officials touch every football on every snap. They are the ones who put the ball in play. If there is a real issue, it's with the laziness ((incompetence?) of the officials.
