I feel like if you're going to work in the strategic and competitive areas of college athletics you have to publicly tuck away your alma mater love while you work at other schools. Like if Washington had hired Wilcox he couldn't put a bunch of Duck shit on his social media.

Also, at most jobs, say I spent my first four or even 10 years out of college at one company and then went to their biggest rival and still said anything nice about them publicly after I'm at least in trouble, hated, or shitcanned.
 
As a coach at a different level in a different sport, we have transfers show up for fall ball, before we issue our gear (we pour, gotta fundraise...) in their previous schools gear. As a young (and middle-aged) red ass, I would relish this, loudly announcing "Get that shit off of my yard, NOW!"...As an "Elder" (soft), I now have the returners pass on the message, and the first day, we have guys with shirts turned inside out, and for the hats, they wear batting helmets...they aren't asked do it twice.
