What in the world is going on with PAC-12 expansion?

They still only have 7 football teams, and the NCAA bylaws say that the PAC-12 is dissolved forever if they're not back up to 8 football teams by the 2026 football season.
 
Supposedly they’re just going to add Texas State, because they’re too broke to get the AAC schools, like Memphis and Tulane.

They should invite PLU. Then the Pac-12 network could have a feature on Frosty Westering and his wise sayings every single game. With Orehon and UW gone, they'll need something to fill the space left by "How Isaiah Thomas got his name" and "Did you know Bo Nix's parents adopted a black kid so he could play on their son's football team?"
