I don't think Carroll being part of the organization will affect anything. It'll be a made-up role that allowed him to save some face. He pretty much said so at the presser. If they want Harbaugh and Harbaugh wants to be got, they'll get Harbaugh.

I think that whole “Carroll will still be with the organizations as an advisor” thing is just words. It’s a way to make everyone feel better in the short term. But Carroll isn’t gonna hang around without a clear purpose. Anyone who’s paid attention to this guy over the past 20 years should know that.

He will be on to the next thing very soon, and it won’t be with Seattle.
