The AppleTV deal is still available through the end of the week
If I were Wazzu or OSU, I'd be jumping all over that
$20m for a MWC-like conference is better than heading to the MWC and getting $1.1m or whatever
The deal was based on most of the other teams staying and the possibility of adding SDSt, SMU and for some reason Hawaii or Fresno.
$250 mill per year is chump change for Apple. But why would any company invest in the PAC 12 now?
Make it the Mtn Pac
Sign on with Apple
Profit
Who’s gonna watch that shit?
Exactly. And the Mtn West HAS A CONTRACT that will have to be bought out.
If Apple somehow took a value added approach and didn’t charge a separate subscription, it could work.
Nah. There still aren’t enough eyeballs to make it worth it from a business standpoint.

I get the jump coming in ‘26 but can someone give me the cliff notes of how an athletic program spends so much fucking money and despite more TV rev than ever, they still operate at a deficit?[/b] With the fucking ridiculous cost of tuition do those streams not bleed together? Edjumakate me.

WSU has a sneaky big fan base around the country from late night and the Leach days
Not sure if it helps but still

Our ticket sales suck for football and basketball. We are still paying Jimmy LAke and stadium debt. It's hard.
Packing the stadium for a year or two makes a big difference though.
