What I'm Hearing on Eason...

Eason did sign his financial aid agreement with Georgia BUT that just means Georgia is committed to him. Eason plans to graduate in December.

If they didn't like Sark than the coaching change (from 18 months ago...will be 30 months when he actually enrolls) should have helped.

The only reason I think we have a 5% chance at Eason is because when Eason signed his Financial Aid papers, UGA did not publicize it. If they had publicized it and he ended up not going to UGA they would be in trouble with NCAA.

So somewhere in the back of their heads at Georgia they are concerned about his commitment.

Still not gonna happen though.

Browning starts this year as true frosh with Eason in HS ...

Browning starts next year as a true soph while Eason either starts or not as a Frosh ...

Browning starts as a true junior and then may or may not leave the program ... Eason loses the starting job and either transfers out as a true soph or as a RS Frosh ...

Continue the extrapolation and Eason is either in position to start as a RS Soph (if Browning leaves after his Junior year) or as a RS Junior if Browning stays all 4 years.

Want to know the real reason Eason's camp is changing their tune now and why Petersen is upping his recruitment? It's because Browning is starting as a true frosh.
 
FWIW UGA is going to start Grayson Lambert at QB this year - he was absolute trash at UVA last year. He got benched after two pick6s in game 1. (But how are SEC QBs terrible?)...so if the other Georgia QBs on the roster can't beat that sack of crap out, Eason has a chance to start next year at UGA. JMO, DT.

You are assuming he Transfers and is not doing it because he sucks. Most of the time when a qb transfers it is because others on the roster are better. If we are that desperate for a qb by the time this hypothetical transfer would happen that we are excited about a uga reject they tried to hand the starting job and he sucked well, just burn it down. Burn the whole thing down.

Eason is going to play before he is ready to. The leash with him is going to be short compared to a local golden boy. As soon as Eason gets benched for this other kid, he's going to realize that he was played a bit and look to go somewhere where he will have a shot at playing time. Heading home is a legit option given that he will almost certainly transfer to somewhere in the PAC.

Not every QB that transfers sucks. Moreover, if he eventually transfers back into the program that covers us not recruiting a QB this year.

He'd most likely transfer to USC though. I read somewhere that he loves Sark, and loves Tui even more. Was in the bag when Sark coached at UW. I read that somewhere
 
Pete is putting on full court press for Eason. Family likes Pete but admits coaching transition hurt UW's chances. But isn't wavering on his commitment to Georgia. Also Eason family does not like Sark. Source specifically told me Kim was full of shit on that.

They cite bad timing, whatever the fuck that means. Kid was only 3 and a half months into his sophomore year of high school. On signing day, Pete will have been the coach for 26 fucking months and by the time kid suits up for his first game, the coach for 33 months.

It's obvious the kid has talent and you take the kid no matter what but sounds to me like this is Heaps 2.0, as far as parents living vicariously through their son and wanting their egos massaged. The dad might even move to Athens with him. I'm sure none are as bad as Mrs. Heaps, but whoever used the term fluffer for only 2 years is spot on.
