What Happened to THE BEST RB in Oregon Ducks History?

Not the best RB in Oregon Ducks history . . . One of the highest-rated recruits. Injury problems in college . . . a bust in the pros. Join the lengthy list of college RBs that don’t do well in the pros.
 
Off the top of my head, the following Duck RBs were better than Royce Freeman, to wit: Mel Renfro, Bobby Moore (Ahmad Rashad), Derek Loville, Maurice Morris, Reuben Droughns, Jonathan Stewart . . .

JStew - beast mode; played through a lot of injuries in college; great human being . . .

My favorite memory of Royce was the 2016 game when he tapped his helmet to beg to come out after he got laid out for the umpteenth time. I can’t remember who put that hit on him… But digging through the highlights of that game reminded me how fun it was to watch that defense.

Yep . . . At least the Huskies are 2-14 in the last 16 games against the Ducks . . . Better than 0-16.

How did those two teams do in the post-season? Rose Bowl?

LaMichael played on better teams and had Chip Kelly as his coach.

Freeman did not have that luxury . .
He had Helfrich for 3 seasons, including the 4-8 season his junior year. He had Slick Willie Taggart, 7-5, his senior year. The program was trashed by Helfrich and long-time assistants who became Retired on Duty (RODs) and never adapted to the social media and recruiting the new generation.
