What does this comment say about Ken Griswold?

Garfield guard Jaylen Nowell is one of the nation's top basketball prospects in the Class of 2017.

His father, Seattle U assistant coach Mike Nowell, died from cancer in May.

Apparently, Nowell didn't play up to his lofty standards this summer, which seems understandable since he's 16- or 17-years old and just lost his dad.

Here's Griswold's hot take:

Tremendous player but has seemed a little lost since his father's passing. from what I'm hearing, a couple of Seattle's own have been kicking him in the butt lately

So high-school kids who lose their father need to quit grieving and get their asses in gear.

But multi-millionaire coaches who abuse alcohol and make asses of themselves deserve our sympathy.

Crazy world ...

This recruiting battle will be interesting to watch. Jason McCleary and a few other hoops guys have said he is definitely not a Washington lean and is much more interested in east coast schools. Kim says, "no offense, but I've been doing this a long time. He is all UW."
