What defense are we going to run?

Has anyone heard this discussed?

All I know is that they have a nickel-like position called the “joker” or something like that.
 
I believe we’re running the “Psycho Steve.”

Seriously, Fisch’s tenure @ UW rests square on the shoulders of 2 really quirky dudes. Hope for the best, but wow he scares the shit out of me
 
The same defense every other team runs most of the time, nickel.
I imagine UW will 1 gap on the DL, I don't think there's a true NT on that roster.

Who knows, the defense will be good this year, borderline pretty good. I know our offense was orgasmic last year, but I long for the days of a really good defense, early 90's kind. We have a better shot at a Natty someday with a badass defense and a good offense

What makes you think it will be better than last year with all the attrition and the likely fact that the offense won't carry nearly as much weight?

The transfer from Miami who transferred to Miami from Oregon at least has the body type to play NT.

Where did I say the D was going to be better than last year's? I said the defense will be good this year...puh

Better secondary talent overall. Shittier db's moved on to the NFL/Florida and Prysock is a body type you'd rather have than Muhammed, which watching a bunch of last season recently, he got picked on a lot for being small.
 
I'm optimistic for a few reasons:
  1. I have hopes this staff will have a better scheme and coaching than the last.
Uh…I guess that's it.

I'm not too worried about the offense, but I am a bit about the defense. There has been a few red flags about Steve Belichick if you pay attention to journalists and players reactions when asked about him in the spring. I hope it's nothing, but if he turns out to be completely incompetent, we will look back and notice that some early signs were there.
